Local Bowling Report: Youth Bowling sign-up set for Sunday in Havre

Ten Pin Chatter...

This Sunday, Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. is the signup for Youth Bowling from PeeWee’s to Majors. Parents wanting to have their kids in the youth program are encouraged to bring them in and sign them up.

The unofficial official results are in for the Senior State Tournament. Two local bowlers finished very well. Faye Brubaker rolled into second place in her division, while Lynn Crossler was in eighth place in her division.

In the Thursday morning housewives league, Julie Rodgers rolled games of 221, 242, and 238 for a 701 series, which is one of the highest series ever rolled at Hi Line Lanes for a lady. Congratulations, Julie.

After 40 years of being in existance as the International Family Tournament it is being replaced by the All American Family Tournament. There are many changes being made but the basic concept is still the same — a handicap doubles tournament involving family memebers.

There is four age divisions available, U8, U12, U15 and U17 with the youth’s age as of July 31, 2014. Finals will be held in Chicago in July of 2015. Qualifying may be a league or tournament. Scholarships will be awarded at the national level. For more information contact Hi Line Lanes.
