Lawrence T. Rowley

Lawrence T. Rowley, 77, of South Colby, Washington, died Oct. 30, 2014, of natural causes in St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor, Washington.

He was born March 6, 1937, to Hugh Francis and Erma (Thorton) Rowley in Harlem, Montana. He was raised in Harlem, served in the U.S. Navy for seven years and spent most of his career as a computer field engineer.

He loved to travel and learned to fly in the Alaska bush, getting his license in San Antonio, Texas, the following year. He loved his wife and family above all else and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

He is survived by four sons, Steve (Lynn) Rowley of Kirkland, Washington, Randy (Daene) Rowley of Lehi, Utah, Wayne (Silvia) Rowley of Snohomish, Washington, and Wade (Diane) Rowley of Snohomish, Washington; three daughters, Sandy (Duane) Martin of Puyallup, Washington, Sherry (James) Bishop of Murrieta, California and Krissy (John) Edgell of Ismay, Montana; two brothers, Miland of Boise, Idaho, and John of Port Orchard, Washington; one sister, Opal, of St. George, Utah; 23 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitations and interment. Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to noon Thursday, Nov. 6, at Tuell-McKee Funeral Home, 2215 Sixth Ave., Tacoma, WA 98403. Graveside Service with military honors will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Tahoma National Cemetery.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Nov. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3877 Mullinex Road S,, Port Orchard, Washington.
