A new name for Milk River Cooperative: CHS Milk River

Special to the Daily News

Milk River Cooperative will begin serving its customers and owners under the name CHS Milk River effective Jan. 1.

The Havre based operation is a locally controlled business of CHS Inc., the nation’s leading farmer-owned cooperative.

“As part of CHS since 2002, our board of directors has elected to adopt the name CHS Milk River to communicate that we are part of the nation’s leading agricultural cooperative, bringing resources and market access to our communities,” said Ryan Lammers, general manager.

“We are committed to helping our owners grow their businesses,” Lammers said. “Our name change reinforces that our cooperative is farmer-owned with global connections — and reminds customers that when they work with us, they are part of something bigger so they can accomplish even more.”

CHS Milk River representatives said the organization will continue to provide the local expertise, quality products and exceptional service its customers have come to trust. It offers crop inputs, grain marketing refined fuel and lubricants through locations across north central Montana. New CHS Milk River signage will begin appearing this fall and winter.

CHS Milk River serves more than 4,329 member owners and customers across six counties in Montana.
