Help sought in locating deer poacher

State wildlife officials are seeking tips from the public about the poaching of a mule deer buck near Fresno Reservoir west of Havre.

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Warden Andy Matakis said the buck was shot on private property approximately one mile north of U.S. Highway 2 on Fresno Road. The deer was shot sometime between Nov. 2 and Nov. 5.

Nothing was taken from the deer, and it was left to waste in the field.
