Gary was born on March 25, 1964, in Havre to Gary A. and Norma (Boucher) Teske. He was raised in Havre, attending school there. As a youngster, Gary played T-ball and baseball for six years. As he got older, he began playing softball on the same team as his dad and brother Lorin. In 1983, he married Denise Vallie, and the couple's union was blessed with three children. While married to Denise, Gary worked in the oilfield and also was a stay-at-home dad for some time. The couple divorced in 1999, and Gary worked as a truck driver for a few years. He also worked as a seismographer for Tessla Exploration. In 2004, his back forced Gary to retire, and he began to enjoy his hobbies once again.

Gary was a very social man who loved to hunt, fish and camp, and pretty much anything that required him being outdoors. His dream was to build a log cabin. He also enjoyed bowling, playing pool, and traveling, but his favorite pastime involved spending time with his family and friends. He loved to party and listen to his music. Gary had a kind and soft-hearted side, as well, and he adored his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Adrian Small; his grandparents, Hector and Artie Boucher and Jack Teske; his very close cousin, Ron Boucher; and his close friends, Melody Coghill and Joe and Glenda St. Dennis.

Gary is survived by his son, Reggie (Nichole Cartwright) Teske of Havre; his daughters, Ariana (James) Walker and Sheena (Gary Cowan) Teske, all of Havre; his four grandchildren, Mitchell Koop, Gabriella Small and Isabella and Rayden Cowan; his former wife of 16 years, Denise Harmon of Havre; his parents, Gary and Norma Teske of Havre; his brother, Lorin (Kathye) Teske of Havre; his sisters, Jody (Ed) Keller of Havre and Kari Lee (Terry) Plum Morelli of Denver, Colorado; his grandmother, Lillian Teske of Havre; his close friend, Shane Simpson; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
