Atrium candy story under new name, new owners

Special to the Daily News

Ernie Biem, a Montana native, and Terri Biem, a native of Michigan, both longtime Havre residents, are the new owners of The Candy Shoppe, formally Sweet Temptations, at the Atrium Mall in downtown Havre.

This is a new adventure for the Biems, as they have been full-time employees at Northern Montana Care Center as certified nursing assistants, and still remain casual workers for the organization.

The Biems said they are excited to have purchased the business in September because they enjoy caring for others, and hope they can provide a pleasurable experience for someone with their Candy Bouquets.

Taking care of people has been a passion forthe two. It all started, in 2006 when they moved to Michigan for family reasons and ultimately ended up running the family business.

In 2011, they returned to Havre to take care Ernie's mother. Their time at the care center, working with the residents, provides them with enjoyment and a gratification for making someone's day better, they said.

They share three children and nine grandchildren.

The Candy Shoppe is a franchise of Candy Bouquet International which specializes in Candy Bouquet arrangements for all occasions and holidays.

Business hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Biems deliver locally and ship worldwide. The Candy Shoppe is located at 220 3rd Ave. Suite 207, call 265-9269 or email questions and orders to [email protected]
