Eastlick sentencing rescheduled

A man indicted during the Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation investigations into corruption was to be sentenced Wednesday, but he has been given more time.

James Howard Eastlick Jr.’s sentencing has been pushed back to March 11.

Eastlick pleaded guilty May 1 to bribery and tax evasion. He could face a maximum of 10 years in prison for the bribery charges and three years for the charge of tax fraud. After his plea agreements, he owed the Internal Revenue Service $66,313 in restitution, $258,487 for one bribery charge and $100,000 for the other bribery charge.

Eastlick worked at Rocky Boy and is a former interim CEO of the Chippewa Cree Tribe’s Health Board.

His sentencing will be March 11 at 1:30 p.m. at the Missouri River Federal Courthouse.

We the people of Rocky Boy now know this is out of our hands, with all these plea agreements it seems as if nothing gonna become of this federal court system. Maybe the Judge can keep pushing it back till he eventually will throws it out of court. All we know is that Eastlick and Chance did a lot of damage to this Reservation, they need to pay for this tribal mess of bribery and corruption. So lets see some justice served here.
