Anti-corruption meet set at Rocky Boy

A newly formed group seeking to write anew constitution for the Chippewa Cree Tribe will hold a meeting at 11 a.m. Monday at Rocky Boy's Senior Center to prepare a presentation for a meeting with aides to U.S. Rep.-elect Ryan Zinke. R-Montana.

The organizer of the session, State Rep.-elect G. Bruce Meyers, said the groups wants Zinke's staff to understand the depth of corruption in Montana Indian Country.

"We don't want to focus just on Rocky Boy," he said. "We don't want to make it look like we are picking on Rocky Boy."

Zinke aide John Vogel was supposed to be attending the meeting, but the meeting was delayed for fear of bad weather. So the members decided to use the meeting to prepare a report for Zinke's office.

The public is invited, he said.
