Havre Police Department

An officer issued a warning after a person stopped at the police station at 10:24 a.m. Monday to complain about someone trespassing and about a privacy in communications issue.

After a representative of a 1st Street store called the police department at 11:54 Monday morning to report store employees had a shoplifter in custody, an officer arrested Desirea Lee Writingbird, 34, of Box Elder on a charge of theft by shoplifting.

After a caller from a 3rd Street West retirement home at 3 p.m. Monday reported smelling marijuana coming from an apartment in the building, an officer issued a summons to Royal Dean Jensen, 61, on charges of possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphenalia.

After a caller from a 1st Street store reported a shoplifter at 4:10 p.m. Monday, an officer issued a summons to a 14-year-old, gender not listed, on a charge of theft by shoplifting.

After an officer stopped to talk with a man about suspicious activity at 2:39 this morning at a 1st Street park, he arrested Stephanie Lynn Collins, 32, of Havre on a Justice or City court warrant.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to three calls Monday.

Firefighters at 6:12 p.m. Monday responded to a report of smoke coming from a residence. The smoke was due to food being burnt in a microwave oven.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held a male black and white husky; a male gray cat; a female calico cat, and a male brown, black and tan mixed-breed husky.
