Havre Police Department

Officers took multiple calls from 10:11 a.m to 12:59 p.m. Thursday about people receiving calls in which someone tried to scam them.

An officer investigated a report at 10:42 a.m.Thursday at the police department that someone had stolen a license plate off of a vehicle.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

A deputy took a call at 10:55 a.m. Thursday in which the caller reported someone had called and tried to scam them.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to one medical call Thursday.

Firefighters responded to a 1:50 p.m. Thursday call to the 200 Block of 6th Avenue to investigate unusual odors coming from Bullhook. The odor dissipated and its cause was not determined.

Firefighters responded to a call at 8:08 p.m. Thursday reporting an unusual odor in a laundry room of a building on the 500 Block of 2nd Street. NorthWestern Energy employees were called and they could not detect any natural gas or other hazardous substance.
