Henry trial continues

The former Stone Child College president’s trial in which she is accused of embezzling federal funds continues today.

Wednesday, Melody Billy Henry and her husband, Frank Gregory Henry, went through the second day of their trial.

Witnesses sworn in and examined by the government were Hunter Burns, Jewell Whitford, Jesse Ova, Cory Rumple, Brenda Azure and Joseph Waller. The only defense witness was Larry Morsette Jr.

Melody Henry is charged with committing the thefts while she was the president of Stone Child College. She pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy to embezzle federal grant and contract funds, theft from an Indian tribal government receiving federal funding, accepting bribes and theft from an Indian tribal organization.

Frank Henry pleaded not guilty to the same charges. He was Stone Child’s facilities department manager when she was president.

The trial was held from 8:30 a.m. to 5:10 p.m. at the Missouri River Federal Courthouse in Great Falls.

Today, they began the third day of the trial at 8:30 a.m.

These emblezzlers just will not quit, there are still going to oust Ken St. Marks from being the chairmen for the fouth time, maybe the people should get together and oust these people that have things to hide.
