The Havre High School speech and debate team is going to celebrate a successful season Monday, its head coach said, with a banquet and awards ceremony for its competitors through the season.
“This was a great year,” coach Tim Leeds said. “We had a bunch of new students join and, even though the team was young, they worked really hard and did well competing through the season.”
The dinner is set to start at 6 p.m. Monday in the high school cafeteria, followed by an awards presentation.
Leeds said the team is providing sloppy Joes and some salad and drinks, and people coming are welcome to bring other main dishes, chips, salads or deserts if they would like.
He said all competitors and their families and friends are invited to the dinner.
