Weather advisories surround the area

Numerous winter weather advisories are in effect across the state, and Hill County may experience some of the effects of these warnings.

To the south, Cascade and Chouteau counties are both experiencing winter weather advisories. Toole County is under one as well, while Phillips to the east has a wind chill advisory.

Liberty, Hill and Blaine counties are clear of advisories; however, Havre is slated for an 80 percent chance of snow today, a 30 percent chance of blowing snow tonight and a 20 percent chance of snow Tuesday.

As the week progresses, the temperature rises. Today the high is 27, but on Tuesday, the high could be as low as 4. The temperature steadily rises each consecutive day for a forecast of a high of 44 Friday.

The detailed forecast today for Havre, from National Weather Service, is a chance of snow before noon, then snow with areas of blowing snow after noon. It may be blustery with a west by southwest wind of 16 to 26 mph becoming north in the afternoon. The winds could get up to 37 mph. The chance of precipitation of 80 percent. A total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch is possible.

Tonight, the low is around minus 3with wind chill of minus 20. The chance of precipitation is 30 percent and new snow accumulation of less than a half inch is possible.
