It's all on the line tonight in Great Falls

The Havre Blue Ponies are so close to reaching the Class A state boys basketball tournament they can taste it. And now, all they have to do to get there is win one more game.

The Ponies (13-7) will take on the Livingston Rangers (10-11) in a challenge game for second place in the Central A divisional and a berth in the state tournament on the line. The two teams will go head-to-head tonight at 8 inside the CMR Fieldhouse.

Havre defeated Livingston twice this season once in overtime and once by 17 points. The Rangers knocked off Browning in loser out action and then beat Lewistown in the consolation game Saturday to be able to challenge the Ponies.

The game will feature two of the Central A’s top scorers in Dane Warp and Ladan Ricketts. The winner will advance to the state tournament which is being held in Bozeman and will take place from Mar. 12-15.

“Livingston is a good team, but we beat them twice this year,” Leeds said. “And as long as we keeping playing hard like we have been, we will be fine against them.”

Tonight's Central A challenge game starts at 8 at the CMR Fieldhouse in Great Falls.
