Obituary - Mary Jane Martin Luce

Mary Jane Martin Luce, 90, quietly pass away March 17, 2015, in Polson.

She was born April 25, 1924, in Burden, Kansas. Parents, Willis and Bessie Eastman Martin preceded her in death. Three younger sisters and one younger brother also preceded her in death. Mary Jane married Edward Robert Luce Jan. 31, 1942, in Winfield, Kansas.

Edward and Mary Jane moved to Frazer, Montana, in 1950 where Mary Jane bought the Coffee Cup Café and Edward farmed land outside of Frazer. They moved to Havre in 1971 where Mary Jane worked for the State Social Welfare Department. After retirement, they moved to Polson. Edward passed away Nov. 12, 2008. They were members of the Lutheran Church. Mary Jane was a loving person who gave of herself to help others.

Mary Jane and Ed raised three daughters, Millie (Loren) Lindell of Fox Island, Washington, Mona (Jim) Knutson of Great Falls and Roberta (Jim) Morelli of Polson; grandchildren, Larry (Tracey) Lindell and Kristen Lindell (James ) Bonnici, Angie Knutson (Darin) Boberg and Edward Knutson, and Jaime Morelli; grandchildren, Lorin, Madison, and and Teah Lindell; Wesley and Willow Bonnici, Dillon and Kaitlyn Boberg, Alex and Madison Knutson; nieces: Teresa Forest and her daughter, Leslie Riley; plus other nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held in Polson.
