The website http://www.myneighborinneed.org/havre provides local citizens a way to ask for help from their community and a way for community members to give back.

Current Needs

Neighbor in Need — Unemployed, disabled young lady is looking for a used/working washing machine. She has a dryer that functions just fine but does not have a working washing machine. If you are able to help in any way, please contact us at 406-301-3919 and let us know how you can help. Thank you and God Bless. The identification number is Havre #8.

Recently fulfilled need:

“Dear My Neighbor in Need,

I am a disabled mother of four and I am in great need of a working washer and dryer. Currently I have to use the laundromat, but because of my disability, it is difficult with four children to make it there, plus the cost is very high. Thank you.”

My Neighbor in Need response:

“We met with the neighbor in need at our office located at 419 6th Avenue. She completed the application and we verified her situation. Her need was posted on the website and a caring donor contacted us and offered to donate a used washer and dryer. We then contacted Mike at Valley Furniture and his team delivered the washer and dryer to the neighbor in need. A You Rock award goes to the generous donor and Valley Furniture.”

Recently fulfilled need:

“Dear My Neighbor in Need,

I have three cats who are my family; however, I have run out of cat food and need help. I heard about your organization and the Free Pet Food Pantry, and I would appreciate any assistance possible. Thank you very much.”

My Neighbor in Need response:

“Thanks to our partnership with Walmart, we had just what she needed. She came in and we provided her with several bags of pet food. She was very happy and thanked us several times. A High-Five goes out to Walmart.”

In your written request, provide contact information, including a description of the need.
