Havre Police Department

A noninjury motor vehicle crash was investigated after officers responded to a 10:05 p.m. Thursday call from 9th Street and 6th Avenue.

Officers investigated a 1 p.m. Thursday call from the Havre area about a sex assault.

Officers investigated a sex offense report made at the department 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Peter Demontiney, 47, of Box Elder was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant and Irene Potts, 68, of Box Elder was issued a summons on a charge of shoplifting after officers responded to a 3:23 p.m. Friday call from a 1st Street business about a female shoplifter in custody.

Officers investigated an 8:15 p.m. Thursday incident at the police station about a man and woman walking in having a verbal dispute.

Officers investigated an 9:40 p.m. Thursday call from a 1st Street West business about suspicious activity.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Deputies investigated a 12:39 p.m. Thursday call from 11th Street North about a stolen drill.

Deputies investigated a 4:50 p.m. call from a U.S. Highway 2 business about hearing aids and a cellphone which were stolen from the calling party’s desk.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to one call Thursday.

Firefighters were called to the 600 Block of 1st Street at 6:52 p.m. Thursday to address a gas leak from a stove. NorthWestern Energy was called to fix the leak.
