Recently fulfilled needs

“Dear My Neighbor in Need,

I am a disabled woman trying to survive on a very low fixed income. I am in need of a used/working window air conditioner for my trailer. Thank you.”

My Neighbor in Need response:

We spoke with the neighbor in need and verified her situation. Due to her medical condition she has a very difficult time with heat. Although it may only be early spring, we decided to post the need request now to allow time to find a donor. In just a few days of the need going live on http://www.myneighborinneed.org a caring donor provided the air conditioner. Thank you very much to the amazing donor.

“Dear My Neighbor in Need,

I am a hard-working young lady. Although I do work, it is for low wages. I recently got my own apartment, but I do not have a place to sit. I am in need of a couch but cannot afford even a used one. Any help would be wonderful. Thank you very much.”

My Neighbor in Need response:

We met with the neighbor in need at our office located at 419 6th Ave., and she completed the application. After we verified her information, her need was approved. In just one day a wonderful donor contacted us and offered to provide a used couch. We contacted Mike at Valley Furniture and his team picked up the couch from the donor and delivered it to the neighbor in need. A “You Rock” award goes to the kind donor and the delivery team at Valley Furniture.
