Havre Police Department

Officers investigated a motor vehicle crash on 5th Avenue and 19th Street Friday at 12:10 p.m. The calling party reported a gold sports utility vehicle was headed north on 5th Avenue, crossed lanes and hit a mailbox and “something else.” No injuries were reported.

Janae Marie Downhour, 18, of Havre was arrested Friday at 2:31 p.m. on charges of careless driving and failure to notify owner of damage to property after a hit-and-run crash was reported on 6th Avenue.

Officers investigated a two-vehicle crash Friday at 3:45 p.m. at Havre Middle School. The calling party reported the crash was between a coach bus and a parked pickup and that mirrors were taken off. No injuries were reported.

A 15-year-old was issued a summons Friday at 4:05 p.m. on a charge of reckless driving after the calling party reported a female driving a Dodge cut her off.

Edwin Frank Converse, 59, of Havre was arrested Friday at 7:01 p.m. on a Justice or City court warrant.

Officers investigated a report from the Sluten Cancer Center Friday at 10:48 p.m. after the calling party reported there were kids climbing on the roof of the facility.

Paul Robert Barrows, 48, of Havre was arrested Saturday at 12:54 a.m. on a Justice or City Court warrant.

Officers investigated a complaint at the police department Saturday at 8:02 a.m. concerning a 24/7 no show.

Jordan James Normandy, 21, of Havre was arrested Saturday at 8:46 a.m. on a Justice or City court warrant after Normandy reported in an 8:01 a.m. call that $40 was stolen out of a backpack.

Officers investigated a report from 5th Street Saturday at 9:52 a.m. concerning vandalism. A brick was reportedly thrown through a car window while parked on 2nd Avenue Friday night.

Officers investigated a report from Summit Avenue Saturday at 5:57 p.m. after the calling party reported a fraud.

Milo John Moreni, 21, of Havre was arrested Saturday at 6:48 p.m. on a charge of disorderly conduct and a Justice or City court warrant.

Mitchell Carl Grant, 26, of Hays was issued a summons on a charge of violating a protective order Saturday at 8:58 p.m. after the calling party reported she has a restraining order against her ex and he was contacting her.

Officers investigated a complaint from 13th Street Saturday at 9:51 p.m. after the calling party reported damage to his property.

Officers investigated a complaint from 12th Street at 10:55 p.m. after the calling party reported a house was egged.

Jonathan Austin, 22, of Havre was arrested Sunday at 3:22 am. on charges of driving under the influence, refused to test, and speeding.

Kennedy Robert Anderson, 28, of Havre was arrested Sunday at 5:26 a.m. on charges of DUI by drugs or alcohol, careless driving, failing to stop and identify self after striking an unattended vehicle, failing to give notice of accident and failing to provide proof of insurance. The calling party reported a hit-and-run after a white diesel reportedly hit the neighbors car and took off.

Veronica Sue Skidmore, 42, of Havre was arrested Sunday at 11:46 a.m. on a Justice or City court warrant.

Officers investigated a report from an 11th Street business Sunday at 12:28 p.m. concerning theft in a gas drive-off.

Officers investigated a report from Grant Avenue Sunday at 2:19 p.m. concerning vandalism. The calling party reported his vehicle was egged.

Officers investigated a report from 10th Avenue Sunday at 5:56 p.m. concerning vandalism. The calling party reported her vehicle was egged.

Kristopher Alan Chapman, 28, of Havre was issued a summons this morning at 12:52 a.m. on charges of DUI by drugs or alcohol, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Two 14-year-olds were each issued a summons on a charge of running away after a calling party reported missing juveniles at 7:27 a.m. Friday.

Joe Don Demontiney, 33, of Big Sandy was arrested Sunday at 2:55 a.m. on two Justice or City Court warrants.

Demetry George Treperinas, 22, of Havre was arrested on two Justice or City court warrants served by deputies at 12:20 p.m. Sunday.

Deputies were called to assist another agency at Shambo Road Sunday at 2:24 p.m. concerning medical assistance.

Deputies were called to investigate a report from 38th Avenue Northeast Sunday at 9:40 p.m. after the calling party reported someone tried to break into her house.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical services responded to four calls Saturday and four calls Sunday.

Firefighters were called to the 200 Block of 1st Street West Saturday at 7:54 a.m. to address an electrical smoke smell. Fire personnel were unable to locate the cause of the smell. No injuries were reported.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the shelter held a male mixed-breed tan and white dog.
