Local athlete to play in Class B All-Star Game

For the third straight weekend, and what won't be the last, a Hi-Line prep football player will be playing in an annual all-star game.

When the 7th Annual Big Sky Class B All-Star Game kicks off Saturday afternoon in Billings, a Harlem Wildcat, by way of Turner, will take the field. Turner senior Lucas Reed, who played football at Class B Harlem, will play on the North Team in the annual all-star game, which will be held at Rocky Mountain College's Herb Klindt Field.

Reed has played football for the Wildcats the last two seasons, and its not uncommon for Turner students to travel to Harlem to play, as the Tornadoes don't field a football team in the fall. Reed was a standout defensive back and wide receiver for the Wildcats this past season, while he also starred on the basketball court for the Tornadoes last fall, earning All 9C honors in his final season in Turner.

Reed's North squad will be coached by Ronan's Jim Benn, and is made up of players from the Northern B and Western B divisions. The South Team is led by Roundup's Dana Quezner.

The game will be played at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Billings. Next up on the all-star circuit is the annual Badlands Bowl next Saturday in Miles City. The game, which pits all-stars from Montana and North Dakota, will feature Chinook running back Gavin Gunderson.
