Archers gather in the Bear Paws to test skills

Archers last weekend once again gathered in the Bear Paw Mountains to test their skills at Frank and Bettie Barber's ranch at the annual Bear Paw Bowmen 3-D Archery Shoot.

The 315 archers brought 116 tents and trailers and camped out during the fundraising competition, shooting at 80 targets set up in four courses and participating in fundraising events like raffles and sales.

Proceeds from the event are donated to charity, with this year's benefit the Frank and Bettie Barber Scholarship Fund that helps send Chinook and Havre High School graduates to Montana State University-Northern.
