Storm leaves path of havoc in Havre

Winds up to 72 mph struck Havre Saturday night prompting the first tornado warning in years.

Hail the size of quarters broke windows at Eagles Manor, the Havre Historic Post Office, the old Shriners Building and other locations around the city. Trees were uprooted around the city, including a massive tree at Eagles Manor. Limbs were down on streets Sunday morning.

The fireworks set for Saturday night display was postponed. They may be displayed tonight. Details are still being worked out.

The heavy winds knocked out power from Chester east to Harlem and as far south as Big Sandy and Rocky Boy....
