Weather Service sets meeting on Independence Day storms

The National Weather Service in Great Falls and Hill County Disaster and Emergency Services will hold a town hall meeting Tuesday regarding the severe weather that struck the Hi-Line on Independence Day evening.

Megan L. VanDenHeuvel, the warning coordinator meteorologist for National Weather Service in Great Falls, said the agency wants to talk to about what the agency learned in the damage surveys that followed the storm, and the challenges it faced in storm interrogation and assessments.
