Program set for Native entrepreneurial workshop

RedWind has set it’s next native entrepreneurial workshop, hosted by the Tribal Planning and Development Department of the Chippewa Cree Tribe of the Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation.

“We are pleased to offer this free business training and hope that you will join us,” said Joan Mitchell, the Tribal Planning and Development Department director. “One of our goals is to enhance our communities by providing technical assistance and trainings for the development of small businesses. Business development is an important key step in growing and sustaining our Native economies.”

This small business development workshop will be provided at the Stone Child College in the Jon Morsette Vo-Tech Center located at 8294 Upper Box Elder Road in Box Elder, Montana 59521 o a.m. to 4 p.m.

Native entrepreneurs are invited to attend and strongly encouraged to register for this free two-day course for small business development. The training workshop will benefit anyone who operates or is considering operating a small business.

This workshop, one of 21 RedWind will hold this year, will cover business concepts indispensable for anyone starting up or running a small business. Instructors will also identify and help participants avoid common pitfalls.

The training will provide comprehensive information on topics important to aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners related to business planning, access to capital, basic bookkeeping, human resources, problem solving and marketing a small business.

RedWind will present this training in partnership with Chippewa Cree Tribe of the Rocky Boy’s Reservation Tribal Planning and Development Department.

The event is free to attend and open to the public. All class materials and refreshments will be provided to participants at no cost.

Native American Entrepreneurial Empowerment Workshops are provided to Native communities across the country through support from the United States Small Business Administration Office of Native American Affairs.
