Obituary - Zanetta "Zee" Lester

Zanetta "Zee" Lester was born Nov. 10, 1992, at Northern Montana Hospital to Luralene and William Lester.

She died as a result of injuries sustained in a car crash near Lodge Pole Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015.

Zee spent her life growing up in Lodge Pole on the family place and helping take care of her gramma Elsie when her health made it hard for her to care for herself. Zee never had any children of her own but helped take care of all her nieces and nephews as these were the light of her life and she cared for them as if they were her own.

Zee attended school in Lodge Pole and Dodson then went on to attend high school in Chemawa, Oregon. The greatest day of her life was when she graduated from high school. She worked very hard to attain this diploma, and it meant a lot to her. She then came home and attended Aaniiih Nakoda College for a year before she took a year off to work and help family. She was in the process of signing back up to finish her last year at Aaniiih Nakoda College. She would have graduated in May 2016 with an associate degree in business. This is one thing that she wanted so badly, and her plans were almost complete.

After high school, Zee worked in different jobs. Her latest was working with Fort Belknap Courts and then at Walmart Super Center in Havre as a inventory specialist (night stocker). She had so much fun and life in her and the last two weeks were spent with family enjoying herself and being with her new love of her life, Jesse Runs Above.

Zee loved to travel to different places and she was always traveling since she was a little girl with her "other mom and dad," her Uncle Jack and Auntie Tina. She got to see places such as Washington, D.C., Virginia, California, Idaho, Oregon and Wyoming. She even got to experience Cheyenne Frontier Days.

Zee was the life of the party. She always called herself "fun size" being she was the shortest one in the family and she made life fun. The last few hours of her short life were spent driving up the hills of LodgePole with her "sister" Jaeda and listening to music, just driving around and having the best time of her life.

We know that she is with her mother, dad, grammas, grandpas, uncles, aunties and her sister, Martina. Life won't be a struggle for her anymore because she has it all now.

Zanetta is survived by her sisters, Jasmine and Ambrosia Lester of Lodge Pole; her niecees, Elsie Mae Bell, Starlit BlackCrow, Alice Lester and Francis Wing/Lester all of Lodge Pole: nephews, Kalue Bell and William BlackCrow of Lodge Pole; her adopted mom and dad, Jack and Tina Has The Eagle of Lodge Pole; adopted sister, Jaeda; and adopted brothers Jay, Roger and D.J. Has The Eagle, all of Lodge Pole; numerious aunts, uncles and cousins and the love of her life and special friend, Jesse Runs Above.

She is preceded in death by her mom and dad, William and Luralene Lester; sister, Martina Lester; grandmothers, Myra Has The Eagle and Francis Gone; grandfathers, Chester Lester Sr. and Francis Moccasin; great-grandmothers, Victoria Has The Eagle and Elsie Eaglelite and great-grandfathers, George Moccasin and Joe Has The Eagle; along with aunts, uncles and cousins.
