Rocky Boy's busy week includes a visit from the governor

Rocky Boy High School had a busy week the first week of school.

On the first day we had an opening ceremony celebration complete with a drum group, The Southern Cree Jrz., and an all-school round dance.

We even held an owl dance competition. The winners of the owl dance competition were Kiariana Buckman and Faren Geoboe. Both are third-graders. Kiariana is a student in Karen Notte's class while Faren is in Heather Nimmick's class.

The festivities continued Tuesday when Gov. Steve Bullock stopped at the school to make the announcement of some grants aimed at...
