Robert "Bob" Eugene Davis Sr.

Robert "Bob" Eugene Davis Sr., 81, Vietnam veteran, retired SFC (E7) in the U.S. Army, passed away on Sept. 13, 2015.

Bob was born on July 13,1934, in Youngstown, Ohio.

Bob leaves behind his wife whom he married on July 31, 1954, 61 years

ago.

Bob married Sharon Naber of Havre, Montana, now of Wichita, Kansas. He also leaves behind three children, Renee Pray of Wichita, Lorie Metz of Rose Hill; and a son, Robert Eugene Davis Jr. of Shepherd, Montana. He is also survived by one sister, Dee McKee; three brothers, George, Owen and Lawrence (Buzz) Davis, all from around Youngstown Ohio; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Davis; and mother Dorothy Gallauher, both of Youngstown, Ohio.

Bob was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Masons, and the American Legion Post 136 in Mulvane, Kansas.

Bob and his wife Sharon moved from Montana to Wichita, Kansas, 12 years ago. They were snowbirds who traveled to Yuma, Arizona, for the winters. Bob will be laid to rest at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery in Winfield, with a graveside service at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, 2015. Immediately following the service, Mulvane American Legion Post 136 will host a memorial gathering and meal.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bob's honor to the American Legion Post 136, 410 SE Louis Drive, Mulvane, KS. 67110 or The Kansas Veterans Home, 1220 WWII Memorial Drive, Winfield, KS 67156 would be appreciated.
