Local Bowling Report: League bowling is back

Ten Pin Chatter

Bowling season is now underway at Hi Line Lanes, and in the fourth week, the leagues are underway and doing great. Scores have been good considering everyone is still a little rusty.

The State Senior Tournament gets underway this weekend, with shifts Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The tournament is open to anyone 50 years old and over. The format is a six-line singles tournament with handicap. The bowler will bowl two three-game sets.

The tournament is open to men and women and runs the first three weekends in October. Entry blanks are available at the lanes or go on line to Montana U.S.B.C.

Shawn Mariani is the tournament director. Reach him at 406-265-4718 or email reservations to [email protected].

Bowlers of the Year for 2014-15 went to Donna Tilleman and Mike Hamilton.

A fun league is forming on Mondays.

It is a doubles no-tap short season league. Everyone will receive a bowling ball. Bowlers must be 21 to participate. Call the lanes for details.
