Obituary - Margaret Louise Wisch

Margaret Louise Wisch, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015. Margaret, 83, died of natural causes in West Salem.

Born in 1931 in Kremlin. Margaret grew up in Havre. In the 1950s, she married her husband, Arthur, to whom she was wed for 55 years until his passing a decade ago. Margaret spent most of her life living in Sacramento, Calif., and then her later years in Yuma, Ariz. In 2013, she went to live with her granddaughter Jenna Dettmering, and former daughter-in-law, Twyla (Gregory) Krueger, who both cared for her until her passing.

Margaret is survived by two brothers, Duane (Evelyn) and Glen; son, Robin; grandsons James, Aaron, Robert (Cassie) and Caleb; granddaughters Jenna (Dylan) and Ana; and eight great-grandchildren.

Margaret was an accomplished artist who specialized in impressionist oil painting as well as being a school teacher and an author who wrote on subjects of faith and family. Her artistic career spanned for more than 50 years, during which time her works were often featured in local art shows and regional magazines in the southwest and California. Oftentimes, she was called upon to speak at various women's clubs and church seminars on topics of faith, relationships, family and persevering through trials. Beloved by family and friends, she will be remembered fondly by her calm demeanor, wisdom, sweetness of spirit and her signature color, purple.

A celebration of life will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Margaret's home, W2703 Buol Road, West Salem. A private burial will take place at a later date in Havre.

Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Homes and Crematory, Jostad Chapel, West Salem, is assisting the family with arrangements.
