Rudyard Museum awarded farm equipment grant

A new building will be added to the Rudyard Depot Museum complex to house a collection antique farm equipment farm.

Gov. Steve Bullock announced that the museum will get $30,000 from a fund aimed at enhancing tourism in the state.

Lila Redding, an official with the museum, said volunteers will build the building, and the money will be used to buy materials.

The antique equipment has been on storage at the site for a long time, Redding said.

The equipment was donated to the museum by its seven founders many years ago, she said, but there has never been a place to display them.

She said visitors will find it interesting.

No timetable has been set for construction, she said.

The museum also has a classic car display, a section on Rudyard history and a dinosaur museum that highlights dinosaur remains found on Redding’s Rudyard farm.

Bullock also announced a $59,570 grand to the Blaine County Wildlife Museum.

Wildlife Museum officials were unavailable for comment last week.
