UPDATE: Missing Girl Found

Police have found 14-year-old Aliyah Gray, and she is safe and sound.

Havre Police Chief Gabe Matosich said the missing persons alert issued for her has been cancelled.

Authorities will interview her and determine where is the best place for her now.

He said there is a possibility she will face charges.

Aliyah had been living with her grandmother in Havre, but turned up missing on Monday afternoon. She reportedly told friends she was going to walk to visit her biological mother in North Dakota. Authorities became worried given the winter weather advisories issued for the Hi-Line.

Authorities throughout Montana and North Dakota are looking for a 14-year-old girl who left her grandmother's home Monday, apparently heading for her biological mother's home in North Dakota.

Havre Police Chief Gabe Matosich said an endangered missing person advisory was issued late Monday after authorities were unsuccessful in finding Aliyah Gray after she failed to return home after school.

The chief said the girl was last seen at around 4 p.m. and had said something about walking to her mother's home.

Police were especially concerned given the bad weather advisories that have been posted throughout northern Montana.

Aliyah is a Native American, weighs 135 pounds and is 5-foot, 5-inches tall. She has brown eyes and black hair.

Matosich said his department has been in contact with North Dakota authorities, advising them to be on the lookout for the girl.

Once the missing person alert is issued, he said, the advisory goes nationwide, he said.

There is no reason to believe she was taken against her will, he said.

He asked that anyone with any information about the girl and her where abouts call the Havre Police Department at 265-4361.
