Recently Fulfilled Needs

“Dear My Neighbor in Need,

“I am a single mother with medical issues and I am in desperate need of a king-size bed system. Because of recent unexpected medical issues and safety issues related to my medical condition, I am in need of a used/clean or new king-size sleep system (mattress and box spring) for myself and a used/clean Twin Sleep System for my young child, however, I cannot afford to buy these much-needed beds. I would appreciate any help possible. Thank you.”

My Neighbor in Need response

Through our partnership with District 4 HRDC, we were able to verify her situation. Her need request was approved and posted on http://www.myneighborinneed.org as well as featured in the Havre Daily News. A caring donor provided a used, full size bed for the child and our friends at Valley Furniture offered to provide a new king bed for a discounted price of $599. NorthWestern Energy made a donation of $250 and Independence Bank and their employees made a donation of $240. The remaining needed balance was provided by an anonymous donor so we were able to purchase the new bed. Valley Furniture is delivering both beds to this family in need. A “You Rock” award goes to NorthWestern Energy, Independence Bank, the anonymous donor and the caring team at Valley Furniture.

Find a need request and click on the Fulfill This Need button. Or you can call 406-301-3919 for Havre or 406-357-8080 for Chinook and tell us how you would like to help. Financial need donations are made directly to the business that will fulfill the need.
