Veterans, families invited to meal at Van Orsdel

Local veterans and their families are being invited to a lasagna dinner at Van Orsdel United Methodist Church tonight.

The church members are preparing the dinner and the youth group that meets every Wednesday night will serve the food starting at 6 p.m..

“We just felt like this was a good way to give back,” said Sherri Simonson.

She said she and her Wednesday night class were talking about what they can do to their community, and the young people were interested in showing their appreciation to veterans.

She urged any veterans to show up tonight from 6 to 8 p.m....
