High-speed chase lands Hays man in jail

A high-speed chase that started in Havre and proceeded to Blaine County has left a 22-year-old Hays man in the Hill County jail facing multiple charges from multiple jurisdictions.

Havre police initiated the pursuit of Daryl Kuli Gone, with Hill County sheriff’s deputies joining in as Gone left the city heading east.

The Havre police dispatch log reports in an entry at 8:16 p.m. Wednesday at 1st Street West that Gone was cited by Havre police with speeding, reckless driving, failure to stop at a red light, negligent endangerment and fleeing or eluding a peace officer.

Gone also faces Hill County charges of reckless driving, negligent endangerment, fleeing or eluding a peace officer, possession of drug paraphernalia and two Justice or City court warrants.

Gone was being held in jail this morning without bond on the pending charges, and on $85 bond for violation of a suspended misdemeanor sentence and on $585 for a charge of failure to appear in court.
