Correction - Utility taxes story

HELENA (AP) — In a story Tuesday about NorthWestern Energy’s property tax increases, The Associated Press, relying on a statement by a company attorney, reported erroneously the impact of the increases on the average customer. The company says the average electricity customer’s bill will increase .45 percent, not 4.5 percent. The average natural gas customer’s bill will go up .49 percent, not 4.9 percent.
