Obituary - John Winter Hawk Sinclair

John Winter Hawk Sinclair, Standing Strong Bear Zoongi-Ga-Bo-Wi Muckwa. passed away on Dec. 11, 2015.

John was born in Havre to Gilbert Sinclair and Debra Johnson.

He was raised in Rocky Boy and Fisher River, Manitoba, Canada. He graduated from Rocky Boy High School and attended Stone Child College.

John enjoyed playing his guitars and loved his music. He was a player on his Xbox 1 game. John loved the sport of MMA and traveled to various parts of the USA competing. He loved and was devoted to his daughter and his nieces and nephews. John had great respect for his sisters.

John was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Marion Small Johnson and John Ogemahgishig Johnson; his paternal grandparents, George and Betsy Sinclair; uncles Enos Johnson Sr. and Alvin Johnson; and nephew Christopher Williams.

John is survived by his parents, Gilbert and Debbie; sisters, Cortney Sinclair-Johnson and Jestina Good Voice; daughter, Harmony Winter Sinclair, whom he called "Doots"; brothers, Colt Houle, Zo Windy Boy, Reggie Coffee, Ryan Johnson and Joseph Johnson; adopted mother, Marlo Stump; and numerous aunts and uncles from Fisher River, Manitoba, Canada, and Rocky Boy. Special thank you to the Chippewa Cree Tribe and Fisher River Chief and Council, the Fire Keepers and Roy Small.

Traditional Native American wake services have begun at John's home in Rocky Boy. Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m.at his home in Rocky Boy with burial to follow at the Rocky Boy Cemetery.
