Soccer holds fundraisers

Club looks for volunteers and players

Press release

Hi-Line United Soccer is looking for some help to get players to games and tournaments across the state.

The nonprofit club relies on player families and the community to fund its operations, and is in the middle of selling tickets for a raffle and organizing two fundraising events.

People are invited both to participate in the fundraisers to support local soccer and to volunteer to help with the fundraising events.

Sunday, Feb. 21, Hi-Line United, which had more than 200 local players participate last year, will hold its Second Annual Pancake Breakfast and Silent Auction from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Havre Eagles Club.

Free-will donations will be accepted per plate of food, and items donated by local people and businesses will be offered in the silent auction.

The club is still accepting donations to be auctioned at the event.

Also at the pancake feed, the drawings for two Ruger 50th Anniversary Edition 10/22 rifles will be held. Club members are selling tickets for the raffle at $5 each or five for $20.

The day after the pancake feed, Monday, Feb. 22, Hi-Line United is teaming up with Domino’s Pizza in another fundraiser for the club. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Domino’s will donate 20 percent of its sales to Hi-Line United.

The club also is still recruiting players, with youths from middle school-age up to 19 invited to play on the middle school and high school teams.
