Jerod Boles, Havre High Basketball

Havre High senior Dane Warp did some heavy lifting at this past weekend's Eastern A divisional boys basketball tournament. But, fellow senior Jerod Boles was doing work as well. Boles, the Blue Pony point guard, averaged 13 points and shot better than 50 percent from 3-point-range in helping the Ponies to the Eastern A title. Boles, who is also a golf and tennis star for the Blue Ponies, had back-to-back games of 15 points, including a 15-point, four 3-pointer performance in the opening round Wednesday.

Dani Wagner, Havre High Basketball

Havre High senior Dani Wagner just keeps getting better. And she's saving some of her very best for last. In last weekend's Eastern A tournament in Billings, Wagner averaged 21 points per game in helping the Ponies to a third-place finish, and yet another trip to the Class A state tournament. Included in Wagner's great run, the volleyball and softball All-State performer, scored a brilliant 26 points in Havre's overtime win over Miles City Saturday morning – the game that got the Ponies into the state tourney.
