The following cases were resolved by Havre City Judge Virginia Seigel in October.

A woman born in 1996, but under 18 years when cited, was fined $500 for driving without a valid driver’s license and was fined $250 for failing to carry proof of insurance, first offense.

Stephanie Lynn Collins, born in 1982, was fined $100 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, all days suspended, for criminal contempt and was fined $1,000 and sentenced to 365 days in jail, 360 days suspended and five credited, for cruelty to animals, failure to provide food and water, first offense. In a later case, Collins was fined $100 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, all days suspended, for each of three citations: criminal contempt, animals running and large and animal registration and vaccination required; and was fined $200 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, all days suspended, for vicious animals.

William Tracy Ahenakew Jr., born in 1990, was fined $500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 150 days suspended and 30 credited, for sexual assault.

Bobbie Jean Flying, born in 1995, was given a deferred imposition of sentence and fined $100 and sentenced to 365 days in jail, 364 days suspended, for partner of family member assault, causing injury. In a later case, Flying was given a deferred imposition of sentence, fined $100 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 days suspended, for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. In a subsequent case, Flying was given a deferred imposition of sentence, fined $300 and sentenced to 365 days in jail, 355 days suspended, for negligent endangerment; was given a deferred imposition of sentence, fined $200 and sentenced to 20 days in jail, all days suspended, for failing to give notice of accident by quickest means, apparent damage more than $100; and was given a deferred imposition of sentence, fined $200 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 days suspended, for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. In yet another case, Flying was given a deferred imposition of sentence, fined $100 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 175 days suspended, for endangering the welfare of a child, first violation.

Brooke Marie Sutherland, born in 1973, was sentenced to 10 days in jail, eight days suspended and two credited, for disorderly conduct.

Lacey Eagle The Boy, born in 1985, was fined $200 and sentenced to 20 days in jail, all days suspended, for failing to give notice of accident by quickest means, apparent damage more than $1,000.

Arne Erin Sippola, born in 1950, was fined $600 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 179 days suspended and one credited, for operating a vehicle with .08 percent blood alcohol concentration or greater, first offense, amended from aggravated driving under the influence.

Michael Jay Haveman, born in 1957, was given deferred imposition of sentence and fined $100 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, nine days suspended and one credited, for disorderly conduct.

William James Standingrock, born in 1968, was fined $200 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 days suspended and two credited, for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked.

Mavis Lynn Cochran, born in 1967, was given a deferred imposition of sentence, fined $500 and sentenced to 365 days in jail, 335 days suspended and 30 credited, for partner or family member assault, reasonable apprehension of injury.

Kolbe Schroeder Mocko, born in 1991, was given a deferred imposition of sentence, fined $200 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 179 days suspended and one credited, for resisting arrest.

Leona Marie Chiefstick, born in 1966, was fined $1,050 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 174 days suspended and six credited, for theft, obtaining or exerting unauthorized control over property, second offense.

Jason Robert Smorowski, born in 1972, was given a deferred imposition of sentence and fined $100 for driving without a valid driver’s license.

Zachary James Flansburg, born in 1994, was fined $200 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 179 days suspended and one credited, for obstructing a peace officer or other public servant.

Jennifer Fatima Denny, born in 1966, pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct, no fine or sentence listed.

William Joseph Smith, born in 1986, was fined $250 for owner permitting operation of vehicle without liability insurance, first offense.

Dannael Justus Gilead, born in 1995, was fined $25 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, nine days suspended and one credited, for disorderly conduct; was fined $100 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, all days suspended, for resisting arrest; and was fined $500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, all days suspended for driving without a motorcycle endorsement.

A boy born in 1998 was given a deferred imposition of sentence and fined $500 for violation of restrictions on instruction permit. In a later case, the boy was given a deferred imposition of sentence and fined $500 for another count of violation of restrictions on instruction permit.

Byron Paul Purkett, born in 1956, was given a deferred imposition of sentence, fined $100 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, all days suspended, for each of two citations: forgery and theft, obtaining or exerting unauthorized control over property, and was ordered to pay $630 restitution on the case.

Angelica Denny, born in 1986, was fined $300 for owner permitting operation of vehicle without liability insurance, first offense.

Jeremy Lerone Bull, born in 1992, was fined $250 for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense.

A boy born in 1998 was fined $100 for minor in possession, under 18, first offense.

A boy born in 1999 was fined $600 for MIP, under 18, second offense.

Ashley Delores Healy Alvarado, born in 1984, was given a deferred imposition of sentence, fined $100 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, all days suspended, for each of two citations: criminal trespass to property and resisting arrest; and was given a deferred imposition of sentence and sentenced to 10 days in jail, nine days suspended and one credited, for disorderly conduct.

Atraeu Jacob Belcourt, born in 1992, was fined $500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 179 days suspended and one credited, for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked and was fined $350 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended, for owner permitting operation of vehicle without liability insurance, second offense.

A girl born in 1998 was fined $100 for tobacco possession or consumption, under 18, second offense.

Vickie Gail Cochran, born in 1968, was fined $1,500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 150 days suspended and five credited, for theft, obtaining or exerting unauthorized control over property, third or subsequent offense.

Raven Ray Wolfgang Lanier, born in 1997, was given a deferred imposition of sentenced and fined $100 for criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.

Donna Jeanne Celej, born in 1970, was given a deferred imposition of sentence, fined $100 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 179 days suspended and one credited, for obstructing a peace officer or other public servant.

Matthew Baer, born in 1984, was fined $2,000 and sentenced to 365 days in jail, 358 days suspended, for DUI any drug, second offense. In a later case, Baer was given a deferred imposition of sentence, fined $50 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 179 days suspended and one credited, for criminal contempt.

Sara Renee Shelton, born in 1997, was fined $100 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 days suspended, for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked.

J.C. Wayne Hawk, born in 1991, was fined $600 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 179 days suspended and one credited, for DUI, any drug, first offense.

Seth Robert Hilliard, born in 1989, was given a deferred imposition of sentence, fined $200 and sentenced to 365 days in jail, 363 days suspended and two credited, for partner or family member assault, causing injury.

Tyla Jo Johnson, born in 1996, was given a deferred imposition of sentence, fined $350 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 177 days suspended and three credited, for driving without a valid driver’s license, has never had one.

Andrew Medicinehorse, born in 1959, was fined $200 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 days suspended and two credited, for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked and was fined $150 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, eight days suspended and two credited, for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense.

Charles Warren Wells, born in 1957, was given a deferred imposition of sentence and fined $500 for driving without a valid driver’s license.

In October, Judge Seigel also dealt with 65 tickets resulting in fines of less than $100 or jail sentences of fewer than seven days, as well as 25 charges that were dismissed by her or the prosecution. Two citations were deferred by the prosecution and two were voided by the ticketing agency.
