Pony softball game

postponed

Tuesday's home opener for the Havre High softball team against Browning was postponed due to poor weather and field conditions. The Blue Ponies will make up that Central A Conference game with the Indians April 14 at 3 and 5 p.m. at the Sixth Avenue Memorial Field. Havre has more games this weekend as the Blue Ponies travel to Belgrade to play in the two-day Belgrade Invitational. The Ponies opened the season at last weekend's Great Falls Jamboree.

Tennis

Once again, Havre High head tennis coach George Ferguson will be conducting middle school tennis this spring. It will begin Monday, April 11, and run every Monday night through May. Each session will start at 7 p.m. and will be held at the Bill Vaughey Memorial Tennis Courts. Middle School Tennis is open to boys and girls currently in grades 6-8 and the cost is one can of new tennis balls. Northern Announces

Athletes of the Year

Montana State University-Northern athletics recently held its awards banquet for the 2015-16 school year, and the Men's and Women's Athlete of the Year were announced. MSU-N junior wrestler Garrett DeMers was named Male Athlete of the Year, while junior basketball player Natalee Faupel was named Female Athlete of the Year. Both DeMers and Faupel were NAIA All-Americans this season.
