Obituary - Gary A. Teske

Gary A. Teske, of Havre, 75, a retired truck driver, passed away at his home from natural causes May 19, 2016.

    Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at Fifth Avenue Christian Church. A luncheon will follow the services at the Eagles Club.

Gary was born March 31, 1941, in Havre Montana, the son of Jack A. and Lillian M. (Ellis) Teske. He was raised and educated in Havre, attending Havre Public Schools. After his education, he joined the U.S. Navy, where he served for two years.

Upon returning home from the service he met and married Norma Boucher on Sept. 6, 1963, in Sandpoint, Idaho. The couple's union was blessed with three children, Gary, Lorin and Jody. The couple settled in Havre, where they raised their three children.

Gary worked for the City of Havre for many years. As a professional truck driver, he worked for Halliburton and many other oilfield companies. He was proud of his grandson, Lex Keller, who followed him in his profession.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and bowling. Spending time with his wife, children, and grandkids was always very special to him. Their home was always welcoming to anyone including the numerous kids who came into their life.

    Gary loved to live life at its fullest, and he enjoyed playing softball with his sons, Gary and Lorin, who were on the same team.

    He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Norma of Havre; his mother, Lillian Teske; daughter, Kari Lee (Terry) Morelli; son, Lorin (Kathye) Teske; daughter, Jody (Ed Smith) Keller; sister, Jackie (Jim) Winchell; brother, Leo (Marlene) Teske; sister, Ruthann Wood; brother, Terry (Betty) Teske; brother, Tim (Joanna) Teske; sister, Becky (Dave) Krezelak; granddaughters, Ariana (James) Walker; Selina Morell and Sheena (Gary Cowan) Teske; grandsons, Reggie (Nichole Cartwright) Teske, Michael Morelli, Jamie Morelli, Lex (Rachel Christian) Keller and  Dillon Newbury; nine great-grandkids; and numerous nieces, nephews, and family and friends.
