Jack was born on March 21, 1931, in Plentywood, Montana, to John and Lilian (Rudi) Lee. He was raised in Plentywood, graduating from Plentywood High School in 1949. Having worked various jobs for the railroad during his school years, it was a natural progression for Jack to make the railroad his career, which started in 1951. In 1954, he married RaMona Negaard in Plentywood. The couple raised their children in the various locations in which Jack worked.

In the 36 years he worked for the railroad, he performed various jobs, culminating in his final position of supervisor over five states. For Jack, working for the railroad wasn't just a job. He enjoyed his years there. After he retired, Jack started a construction business and opened a second-hand store called the Country Trader.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, attending auctions, antiques and old cars, and was a fan of several professional wrestlers, such as Hulk Hogan. Jack and Mona enjoyed vacationing in Hawaii and spending their winters in Arizona.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lilian Lee; his son Keith Lee; and his grandson Travis Turner.

He is survived by RaMona Lee, his beloved wife of over 60 years; his children, Craig (Pam) Lee of Glasgow, Cheri (Marvin) Turner of Havre and Mark (Becky) Lee of Havre; his beloved grandchildren, Hilary Lee, Marcus Lee, Ethan Lee, Ryan (Tylyn) Turner, Justin (Tiffany) Turner and Kimberly (Jordan) Turner; and several adored great-grandchildren.
