HHS names Senior Athletes of the Year

Havre High School announced its 2015-16 Senior Athletes of the Year at Thursday night's Spring Sports Awards.

Dani Wagner was voted Female Athlete of the Year. Wagner lettered 10 times while at Havre High. She was on the varsity volleyball and basketball teams for three seasons and played varsity softball all four years at HHS.

For the past two years, Wagner accomplished an incredible feat by being named Class A All-State in all three sports, while also maintaining one of the highest GPAs in her class, Wagner was also part of the 2014 Havre High girls Class A basketball state championship team, and she's playing in the Montana-Wyoming All-Star Series later this summer.

Wagner will play hoops for Carroll College next fall.

Nate Rismon was named Male Athlete of the Year. Rismon also lettered 10 times, playing varsity football and basketball three years each, and competing in track and field for four years.

Rismon earned Central A All-Conference honors in all three sports multiple times, and was Class A All-State in football this past season, and has been named to the 2016 Shrine Game.

Rismon wrapped up a brilliant high school career with two state titles, including the 200 meters at last weekend's Class A state track meet in Bozeman, and he'll go on to play football at UM-Western next fall.

Havre High also honored its 36 three-sport athletes at the banquet.
