Semi crashes into sedan, driver suffers minor injuries

Montana Highway Patrol reports that a sedan was hit broadside Friday afternoon by a semitractor-trailer driving at highway speeds when the vehicle attempted to cross U.S. Highway 2.

Trooper Matthew Finley said the driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries and has since been released from Northern Montana Hospital. The car was totaled with the entire hood area damaged in the crash.

Finley said that the place of impact played a major role in the minimal injuries of the sedan driver’s injuries.

The crash was reported Friday at 4:45 p.m. and was the result of the sedan driver not stopping on Highway 448 at the intersection with U.S. Highway 2, Finley said.

Finley said the semi was carrying grain and no injuries to its driver were reported.
