Letter to the Editor: Teacher supports Romano

Editor,

I have been teaching in Montana for the past 24 years. I am also a parent of an elementary student and a Montana University student. As an educator here in Great Falls, I have seen a lot of changes. Having good leadership in the top positions is absolutely critical to continuing to prepare and educate our youth.

Montana’s superintendent of public instruction affects me, my family, and lives of the children I teach. I’ve studied the issues and where the candidates stand. If you are a fellow educator, a parent, grandparent or count yourself fortunate to have been a student of the Montana public school system, you know how critical a good education is. Education affects not only your future and mine, but also the next generation’s future.

Melissa Romano is the right person for this most important job! Melissa is passionately committed to Montana’s children. She will keep children at the center of everything our public schools do. She knows the mission of our schools is to connect with each child, discover their passions, unlock their potential, and prepare them for success. Please join me in supporting Melissa Romano’s campaign for Superintendent of Public Instruction.
