Obituary - MaryAnn Whiteford

MaryAnn Whiteford, 77, passed away due to natural causes on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016, at the Northern Montana Care Center.

Wake services began at 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 15, 2016, and continued until her funeral service, at 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016, all at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rocky Boy. Burial followed in the Meyers Parker Family Cemetery.

Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

MaryAnn was born on Oct. 1, 1938, in Rocky Boy to John and Elizabeth (Nomee) Parker Sr. She was raised in Rocky Boy, attending the Flandreau Indian School and graduating as Salutatorian from Box Elder High School in 1956.

MaryAnn worked at various jobs for several years before marrying Ervin Whiteford. She remained a homemaker for the remainder of her life, caring for her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

MaryAnn loved to quilt, sew, read, watch football - especially the Denver Broncos - cook and camp.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Whiteford; her parents, John and Elizabeth Parker Sr .; her two sisters Cecelia Corcoran and Lucy (Parker) Meiwald; her six brothers Leonard, Robert, Gilbert, Raymond, John Jr. and Alfred Parker; and her son-in-law, John E. Meyers.

MaryAnn is survived by her children, Joe (Loranda) LaFromboise, Teresa (Rusty Piapot) LaFromboise, Ivy Meyers and Kenny (Mary) LaFromboise, all of Rocky Boy; her 15 grandchildren; her 23 great-grandchildren; her two sisters, Anna Crain and Betty Wetsit, both of Rocky Boy; her brother, Paul Parker of Rocky Boy; and numerous beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
