Dear Editor,

I would like to share the good news and the good deeds that transpired this summer by Van Orsdel United Methodist Church’s SOS Committee (Save Our Souls).

VOUMC SOS Committee kicked off a third summer with their Back Pack Program. The program helps to feed Havre’s hungry youth, from preschool age through 12th grade during the summer months. Bags of food the size of a back pack are discreetly distributed to local youth at the Boys & Girls Club of the Hi-Line or Lincoln-McKinley Primary School on Fridays before kids head home for the weekend.
