Matthew Charles Chapman of Havre, 25, was arrested on a probation violation and a stop sign violation Wednesday at 8:10 a.m. on Eighth Avenue.

Officers assisted a citizen after a caller from the Child Abuse Hotline called Wednesday at 9:36 a.m. to say she had information for officers.

Officers investigated a theft report after someone reported Wednesday at 2:43 p.m. a lost cellphone.

Officers investigated a vandalism report after a caller reported Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. that someone had thrown a water bottle out of a bus window and it hit and broke a car window.

Louann Michelle King LaSalle of Havre, 43, was arrested on a violation of conditions of release Wednesday at 7:04 p.m. in relation to a 24/7 Sobriety Program violation.

Officers made two arrests on First Street Wednesday at 10:15 p.m.

Officers investigated a theft report after a McKinley Avenue caller reported Thursday at 12:27 a.m. that a man came in and took his gun and some money.

Officers made four arrests after a Ninth Avenue business caller reported today at 3 a.m. that a vehicle had been sitting behind some bushes and would like someone to check it out.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to two calls Wednesday.

Fire crews responded to a 9:47 a.m. call on the 1700 Block of First Street where a gas meter was found to be leaking.

Fire crews responded to a 10:54 a.m. call after a vehicle was reported to be leaking diesel fuel. The fuel was absorbed and the ground cleaned up.

Animal Shelter

The animal shelter held Wednesday a brown female Weimaraner-pit bull mix and a harrier-beagle mix dog.

The animal shelter held a tiger-striped gray cat with five kittens, an orange cat, a tortie cat and a gray cat.
