Vote Bullock, Romano to keep Montana moving forward

Editor,

Elsie Arntzen and Greg Gianforte both want to divert tax dollars to fund private schools, limit access to public lands and sell those lands off to the highest bidder. That is wrong for Montana.

Greg Gianforte dismisses Steve Bullock as a career politician. Governor Bullock is a career public servant  who has worked to better the lives of all Montanans. He has funded public schools, kept public lands public, worked across party lines to expand Medicare to Montanans without health care and works tirelessly each day for every single Montanan. Greg Gianforte likes to add that he is a Christian, but he endorses Donald Trump who behaves in a most un-Christian way toward women, minorities, veterans and the disabled.

Melissa Romano is an award-winning educator who has a plan to continue moving Montana schools ahead.  She wants to strengthen our public schools and fund pre-school education, which will mean that kindergarteners begin school better prepared to learn.  She will champion our schools by keeping public tax dollars funding public schools.

Elsie Arntzen’s legislative voting record on education in 2013 was a whopping 11 percent, and in 2015 it increased to just 24 percent. Elsie has not only voted against Early Edge, she has voted at every opportunity to move public education tax dollars to private school vouchers. She has voted consistently to unravel, defund and destroy public education in Montana.

In order to keep moving Montana forward, we need to re-elect Governor Steve Bullock and elect Melissa Romano as superintendent of public instruction.
