Obituary: James "Jim" Carl Booker Jr.

James "Jim" Carl Booker Jr. of Rudyard, Montana, 52, passed away from natural causes on the morning of Jan. 18, 2017, at Northern Montana Hospital in Havre, Montana.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be set at a later date.

Jim was born on July 13, 1964, in Bellville, Illinois, to James and Velva (Nalley) Booker. He was the youngest of four children. He went to school in Houston, Missouri, and Puyallup, Washington.

He worked as a journeyman carpenter (Carpenter's Local 470) and general contractor most of his life. He loved the work that he did as well as working on vehicles, riding

his Harley, hunting, fishing, camping and boating. He married Amy Nissen in 1993 and their daughter, Ashley, was born in 1993. Jim married Lisa Dubois on Feb. 12, 2016.

Jim is preceded in death by his mother, Velva Nalley, grandmother Agnes Freiman, and nephews Jason and Kristopher Booker.

Jim is survived by his wife, Lisa; daughter, Ashley Booker; stepdaughter, Tracy; father and stepmother, James and Eva Booker from Elk Creek, Missouri; sisters, Dixie Booker-Lair, Malayne Booker-Firth and Wanda Booker; niece and nephew, Mindy and James Ertz; his beloved dog, Junior; and many other family and friends in Missouri, Washington and Montana.
